When constructing our nose bags, we use a very strong PVC-coated polyester mesh that is manufactured in the USA. The mesh has 11 threads per inch in both directions. This product is popular for a variety of commercial and industrial applications because of its shear strength and resistance to abrasion. Each multi-fibered polyester strand is individually coated in PVC prior to the weaving process, rather than simply coating the completed woven mesh. This results in a superior product that can flex and skew to an incredible degree without tearing and really stands up to the abuse that horses can inflict on their gear.
